HTC Finally Releases a Car Mount Made For The EVO!

The wait is finally over! HTC has released a suction car mount made specifically to fit the EVO. The phone actually docks into a charging port and there is a micro-usb port in the back to connect your car charger to it. Unfortunately it doesn't come with a car charger, but by now I would hope you have a car charger! Anyway, I love that it's actually manufactured by HTC and it looks pretty well made like all other HTC products. I would love comments on the quality and the functionality if you own the product already.

Zagg Antibacterial Cleaner, Eww Our Phones Are So Gross!

Face oil marks, Gunk, Dirt? Guess what? The folks over at Zagg love your grime. They just came out with an anti-bacterial foam product that comes with a micro-fiber cloth to clean your handheld device. Simply spray the foam onto the cloth and clean until the grossness is gone. I personally have used this on my Samsung Captivate and let me tell you grime is no longer an inhibitor to my AMOLED pleasures. Retail stores are selling this product for a measly $14.99, is it worth it? You be the judge, I say yes.

It's Been a Good Few Years for Android

From top left to bottom right: Backflip, Aria, Captivate, Evo, Intercept, Moment, Epic 4G, Hero, Droid X, Eris, Droid, Droid 2, Incredible, Devour, Ally. Woah, that's a lot of Android. Guess what? This lineup doesn't even include European releases, the Nexus One, T-Mobile, or Motorola's i1 on Boost Mobile. Over the last few years the google operating system has taken over the smartphone market, expanding its app store, developing numerous software updates, and honestly I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. The android craze has come a long way since T-Mobile's G1 and G2, and I'm very excited to see where it ends up. As we all know android will be adapted into netbooks and tablets next, but where else? The sky is the limit. Google has done everything right to claim the smartphone market to compete with Apple's puny four iPhone releases, and they will continue to take business away from Jobs and his defective device.

Introducing the Blackberry Torch, Only Hot On Ebay

Research in Motion debuted the Blackberry Torch in stores about a month ago, but the sudden decrease in no-contract price for Blackberry devices caught the eyes of cell phone auctioneers on eBay. In most retail locations the Torch was selling for about $499.99 and the eBay sellers were selling it for about $525 to $575 depending on the auction and the location. Rinse and repeat, they were profiting close to 50 bucks a transaction, easy huh? It was very interesting because retail locations like Best Buy caught wind of this when all of the shipments of torches were being bought for the outright price instead of the upgrade or new activation price of around $199.99. Best Buy made the price to $549.99 to remove eBay from the picture.

Honestly, I am not impressed with the Torch. It seems clunky and the whole idea of a Blackberry is to have a candy bar form factor, no moving parts. When RIM came out with the Torch they wanted to debut their new OS6 with a new device, but in my opinion it should have been a new and improved Storm (without the click-button-touch-screen-or-whatever) or an awesome redo of the World Edition (my all time fav) with a 1 ghz processor.
